The Clipper Race fleet reached Qingdao on March 10th, 2016. Twelve 70ft racing yachts were all built Mazarin, a Chinese Shipbuilding company who’s technology and production proved they were up to the challenge. The boats have been complimented by both the race teams and media, and the company is looking to expanded its reach in the sailing world.
The modern German shipyard in Qingdao is building yachts between 22m and 50m in length and using state-of-the-art vacuum infusion methods. The Pirate 72 sailing yacht was produced by Mazarin, for the Clipper fleet and the company believes it will play a leading role in the Chinese sport-leisure sailing boat market. The combination of German design, shipbuilding experience, quality materials and good craftsmanship results in a well built yacht that is both reliable and long lasting. But great form and function are not its only attributes and great care has been paid to the luxury interiors, which are designed to meet the needs of the most demanding owners.
